Roanoke Electric Cooperative’s broadband initiative enters next phase

With its “Roanoke Connect” fiber optic network nearly complete, Roanoke Electric Cooperative is launching a pilot program to test how it could be used to bring high-speed internet to co-op member-owners. The pilot is an important step toward bridging the digital divide for Roanoke Electric members in northeastern North Carolina.

The Roanoke-Chowan Partners for Progress Phase 2 will convene its quarterly meeting on Friday, October 20, at Roanoke Electric Co-op’s headquarters. RCPP2 is a local collaborative effort of community partners led by the co-op.  Join us to get the latest update on the co-op's plan to deploy internet service throughout its service territory.
