Roanoke Energy Assistance Program

In order to assist member-owners that have difficulty paying their electric bill, we have created the Roanoke Energy Assistance Program. The program’s objective is to keep the power on for households experiencing hardships.

In 2016, over 750 member-owners received energy assistance from local help agencies. Our program will provide extra funding to those agencies, so that more of our member-owners can be assisted.

This program is funded through generous donations from the community, which includes member-owners, businesses, cooperative employees, and matching contributions from the cooperative. Every dollar donated goes directly to the support of needy households.

Tax deductible donations can be made by:

  1. Credit Card via the Donate Button below
  2. Check - All checks must be written out and sent to our nonprofit:

REDI – Energy Assistance

PO Drawer 1326

As member-owners’ needs surface, we encourage them to be in touch with the agencies as soon as possible to be enrolled in any relevant assistance programs.  Get a list of area help agencies.

Charitable giving verification forms will be provided for contributors upon request.
